The Advisory Committee's second opinion on Norway

The Advisory Committee under the Convention for the Protection of National Minorities published a second opinion on Norway 5 October 2006.

The Advisory Committee monitors the implementation of the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities (FCNM). The states parties to the FCNM report every five years to the Advisory Committee on measures taken to implement the convention. Upon receiving the country report, the Advisory Committee issues an opinion on the implementation by the country concerned. Based on the opinion of the Advisory Committee, the Committee of Ministers then adopts a resolution containing conclusions and recommendations to the state party.

Norway submitted 19 October 2005 its second report on the implementation of the FCNM.

The Advisory Committee's second opinion on Norway was published 5 October 2006.

The Committee of Ministers' resolution on the implementation of the FCNM by Norway was adopted 20 June 2007.
